Tottenham Hotspur can strengthen their Premier League top four hopes this evening with three points against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou's team are currently two points above Manchester City after Saturday's 2-1 win over Everton. Three points against the Seagulls could see them move five above Pep Guardiola's side, though the Citizens are in action themselves.

Brighton won't be an easy task with Roberto De Zerbi's side causing a number of teams problems already this season. However, the Seagulls, currently ninth in the Premier League table, have failed to win in their last three league games.

Having secured their spot in the Europa League knockout rounds, Brighton will now look to produce the same form that saw them finish sixth last time out.

Fortunately for Postecoglou, Spurs have discovered some impressive form in recent weeks. Having lost to West Ham at the start of the month, the north Londoners have won three on the bounce - including an emphatic win over Newcastle United.

The run of fixtures over the New Year sees Spurs face Bournemouth and Manchester United in the league. They will also start their FA Cup campaign against Burnley on Friday, January 5.
