The Blues face their penultimate Premier League match of the season down on the south coast as they look to take a big step into Europe next term. Another three points would be massive for Chelsea in ensuring just that but they take on a Seagulls side that, on their day, can prove to be a match for any team.

Mauricio Pochettino's side, though, have been in tremendous form of late. Chelsea have won their last three matches, including a late turnaround against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Kick-off at the Amex is at 7:45pm (UK time). Bobby Vincent is live down in Brighton throughout the day to keep you up-to-date with everything going on from a Chelsea perspective.

Predicted line-up

Mauricio Pochettino has a few changes to consider for tonight's clash.

Reece James and Malo Gusto are both back in action - but it seems unlikely James would be back starting straight away after a fantastic cameo appearance at Nottingham Forest last time out.

Elsewhere, there are questions over whether Raheem Sterling has earned a place in the starting XI - perhaps at the expense of Mykhailo Mudryk - despite his goal away at Forest.

You can find our predicted XI here.

Pochettino drops future hint

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he is preparing to be in charge of the club next season despite not yet knowing whether the club will decide to part ways with him.

Chelsea's decision-makers will hold an assessment of Pochettino's first year in charge after the final Premier League fixture next week.

We are planning, we are working. We cannot take some comment from my side to put in a negative way because I always try to be positive and being positive, trying to translate my feelings to you or the people, I never say and I am not thinking in the future.

Fofana injury timeline

Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful Wesley Fofana will be part of Chelsea's travelling squad to the United States this summer as the defender nears a return from injury.

We hope so, yes [Fofana can be back for pre-season]. He is doing well, very positive, we were talking yesterday and hope he can be available to be part of the group. He is still not part of group training.

Fofana has been sidelined since last summer after the 23-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
