Currently sitting 5th in the table with 15 points, we’ll be looking to bounce back and return to winning ways after a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Colchester United in the Vertu Motors Trophy.

The Opposition: Brighton

Brighton have had a phenomenal start to their season, sitting in 2nd place with 19 points, just two points off the top spot. Their league form has been exceptional, boasting five consecutive wins during which they’ve netted an astonishing 23 goals. This run includes a remarkable 10-0 victory over their rivals, Crystal Palace.

Brighton’s impressive form extends beyond the league. On Tuesday, they secured a 2-0 win over Anderlecht in the Premier League International Cup, maintaining a perfect record in Group D with three wins from three games.

Leading the line for Brighton is their top scorer, Josh Duffus, who has scored five goals and two assists in just eight league appearances this season. Supporting him are standout players Marcus Ifill, Caylan Vickers, and Harry Howell, each contributing four league goals to Brighton’s attacking firepower.

The last time we faced Brighton in the league, we won a thrilling contest 6-3.
