The plane’s two black box flight recorders have been found and sent to Brasilia for data analysis, which should help investigators determine the cause of the plane crash.

Firefighters, military police, and the country’s civil defense department have dispatched workers to the site of the crash, which has been sealed off.

Local authorities and military police said that they will be investigating.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva called for a minute of silence and declared the state of mourning from Friday to Sunday.

In a statement, the airline company Voepass said the plane that crashed in the city of Vinhedo was carrying 57 passengers and 4 crew members, and none of them survived the tragedy.

The plane of the Brazilian regional airline was traveling from the city of Cascavel in the southern state of Parana to Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo.

The aircraft, with a carrying capacity of 68 passengers, fell on houses in the neighborhood of Capela de Vinhedo.
