The story

Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs, announced their sixth signing of the current transfer window, Bradley Cross, from Golden Arrows on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old left-back, who stood out for Abafana bes'thende last season enough to attract Hugo Broos' attention, agreed to sign a four-year-deal with Amakhosi.

After being announced by the Glamour Boys, Cross took to Instagram to express his gratitude to his former club for helping to revive his career after being relegated with Maritzburg United

The former Schalke 04 and Newcastle United youth player thanked his former Arrows teammates, the staff and the club chairlady, Mato Madlala for believing in his talent:

"A big thank you to the Arrows community for taking me in and making me feel so welcome over the past 12 months. It was a great honour to play for a club that will always have a place in my heart.

"To be crowned by you, the fans, as your joint-player of the year was an extremely proud and memorable moment for me. I want to thank all my teammates, coaches, and management for a great year — especially the chairlady, Ms. Mato, who showed great belief in me," wrote Cross on IG.
