AC Milan’s Primavera side fell to defeat in the league this afternoon as they were beaten 3-1 by Bologna away from home despite taking the lead.
The Primavera had stuttered a bit after their impressive 3-1 derby win against Inter late last month, drawing 1-1 at home against Cesena and then losing 3-1 against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Youth League, though they arguably deserved more from both of those games.
Federico Guidi’s side really could have done with three points to keep up with Juventus, Roma and Fiorentina who are the three teams higher in the table, and they were on course for a win when Bonomi scored early on.
However, Bologna came roaring back and they scored twice in three minutes around the half-hour mark through Ebone and Labedzki to take a 2-1 lead. They would add a third late on through Markovic to wrap up the points.
Milan will next play against Cremonese on Saturday, while they currently have four wins, one draw and two defeats from seven games so far this season, which as mentioned has them fourth in the league for the time being.
