Billie Eilish — the massively influential music performer who’s consistently topped the Billboard charts and repeatedly won Grammys and Oscars — has signed, along with her brother and collaborator Finneas O’Connell, to WME, ending their relationship with Wasserman Music. “While grateful to their former live booking agents at Wasserman, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell have opted to have film, TV and music handled by the same agency, WME, moving forward,” an Eilish spokesperson tells The Hollywood Reporter. (Eilish and O’Connell had been with WME for film and TV since January 2023.)

Neither WME nor Wasserman responded to requests for comment.

The move was first reported by Billboard and comes after the Daily Mail published an extensive Aug. 1 article about Wasserman owner Casey Wasserman’s alleged sexual misconduct during a period of years involving a series of women, mainly subordinates at his firm as well as others who worked for him, while still married. While long a significant figure in the entertainment and sports management business, he’s lately taken on an outsize dimension as the powerful chair of the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Variety explained that Eilish’s team was “horrified” at their inclusion in the story. Separately, an individual familiar with her camp’s thinking tells The Hollywood Reporter that the siblings’ mother, the actress Maggie Baird, was disgusted by the revelations and sought to distance the superstars as soon as possible. In 2023, Wasserman provided financial support through his family foundation to Baird’s sustainability nonprofit, Support+Feed.

Wasserman and his company have yet to address the misconduct claims. Its biggest entertainment clients still include Kendrick Lamar, Blackpink and Kacey Musgraves. The firm also represents major sports players, such as Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and Klay Thompson.

Eilish’s departure comes days after her involvement in the L.A. handoff of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, where she was tapped to perform during the closing ceremony.
