Harry Kane scored his 15th goal of the season as Bayern Munich beat rock bottom Bochum 5-0 in the Bundesliga to go top of the table on goal difference.

The Bavarians, who were looking to recover from a 4-1 thrashing by Barcelona in midweek, had to weather an early storm from the hosts.

But they soon found their rhythm and took the lead courtesy of a deft freekick from Michael Olise on the edge of the box.

Jamal Musiala, who was on the bench for the Barca game after a hip injury, made his return to the line-up and doubled the Bavarians' lead with a header from Joshua Kimmich's freekick.

Bochum brought on Crisian Gamboa in the second half but it made little difference to their defending.

Kane made it 3-0 with a ferocious finish from Musiala's assist and substitute Leroy Sane capitalised on a mistake at the back to grab the fourth.

And Kingsley Coman completed the rout with arguably the game of the game, letting fly from distance with his shot going in off the underside of the bar.

The result puts Bayern level on points with RB Leipzig but the Bavarians have a better goal difference while Bochum remain bottom.
