Goals from Jamal Musiala, Harry Kane, Michael Olise and an own goal from Nicolai Remberg saw Bayern Munich beat Holstein Kiel 6-1 in the Bundesliga.

Kane scored his first hat-trick of the season as Bayern moved top of the Bundesliga table with three wins from three.

Holstein Kiel did manage to grab a consolation goal in the closing stages but they were unable to repair the damage of a first half thrashing by the 33-time Bundesliga Champions.

BAYERN MUNICH GOES TOP OF BUNDESLIGA TABLE

Vincent Kompany's side becomes the only team to make it three wins from the opening three games. They go top and will be hoping to stay there until the end of the season. With that performance, there's a decent chance of that happening.

GOAL! HOLSTEIN KIEL 1 - 6 BAYERN MUNICH (KANE)

He gets his first hat-trick of this Bundesliga season. A sliding tackle in the box by Carl Johannsson sees Kane rewarded a penalty and there was little doubt with a hat-trick on the cards. He slots it past Weiner with precision and power.

Kane goes down in the box and the referee Tobias Reichel goes to the screen.

It's perhaps a soft penalty but Kane has a chance for a third.

Great play by Kiel and they're really thriving off the energy from the crowd. It's the woodwork again that denies Kiel as the former Bayern Munich II player Jann-Fiete Arp takes a strike at goal.

GOAL! HOLSTEIN KIEL 1 - 5 BAYERN MUNICH (Gigovic)

Would you believe it? They've found a consolation goal and it's a great header by Gigovic, who is found in the box by Tymoteusz Puchacz.

That's one way to wake up the home crowd.

Bayern are running rings around this Holstein Kiel side. The home side are trying to put in a good account for themselves against the German champions but even a consolation goal looks unlikely.

So about those substitutes. Bayern make another two changes with Alphonso Davies and Konrad Laimer coming on for Raphael Guerreiro and Sacha Boey.

Kiel also make a change with former Bayern Munich II player Jann-Fiete Arp coming on for Shuto Machino.

GOAL! HOLSTEIN KIEL 0 - 5 BAYERN MUNICH (Olise)

Whilst I would love to tell you about a series of substitutions we've just had, there was little time between them and Bayern's fifth goal of the game.

Alphonso Davies, who has just come on, tries a shot from distance and the rebound lands in the path of Michael Olise, who wastes no time to get his Bundesliga campaign underway

BAYERN RACKING UP THOSE CORNERS

And it's Weiner who looks to have shaky palms as he's unable to claim one of Joshua Kimmich's deliveries and is just about to keep it out with his feet after a scramble in the front of goal.

KIEL WILL BE GLAD TO SEE THE BACK OF GNABRY

Gnabry was a problem for Kiel throughout that first half and deserved a goal but if there is any hope of some respite, that right flank continues to ooze creativity.

Kiel's Benedikt Pichler gets the first opportunity of the second half and it's a good one. The forward rises the highest in the box and his header is hits the upright.

With Bayern 4-0 up, Vincent Kompany is turning his attention to their Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday, September 17.

Thomas Muller comes on for Jamal Musiala, whilst Serge Gnabry is replaced by Michael Olise.

Kiel also make two changes with Patrick Erras and Dominik Javorcek being replaced by Max Geschwill and Tymteusz Puchacz.

THIRD FASTEST GOAL IN BAYERN HISTORY

End of 1st Half

HALF-TIME! HOLSTEIN KIEL 0 - 4 BAYERN MUNICH

Bayern Munich are en route to the top of the Bundesliga table. Marcel Rapp's side are going to need this break. Bayern are dominant throughout and making it look easy. They want more goals and I doubt Holstein Kiel can do little about that.
