Bayern Munich CFO Michael Diederich can look up-and-down the roster list and see for himself that the club is currently carrying a lot of players.

The executive knows that the squad planning is a work in progress from both a sporting and financial perspective.

“We sat down before the summer and laid out our cards. But, of course, the responsibility for transfer decisions lies with Max Eberl - and that also applies to possible departures. My job is to discuss the financial side with Max. The three of us on the board are discussing that,” Diederich told Tz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Let me put it this way: We are all convinced that we can achieve our sporting goals even with an adjusted wage structure. Regardless of individual names: There are always emotions involved in football. But the biggest goal is neither me nor the player, it is the future viability of the club.”

There are still a few weeks to go in the transfer window and the club will be attempting to make adjustments from both a sporting and financial perspective. Can Bayern Munich get its squad to a number that assures depth, but is manageable from both a personnel count and salary budget perspective.

Injuries, salary could hinder Barca’s interest in Coman (PSG Talk)

FC Barcelona reportedly likes Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, but his salary and injury history could prevent the Catalans from making a move for the Frenchman:

Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona has some serious concerns about bringing in Coman, mainly due to his injury history. The 28-year-old French international missed 20 games last season due to four different injuries.

Another factor for Barcelona to consider is his salary, which is on par with what he makes at Bayern Munich. The German side would be open to a loan if they can’t find a buyer. Overall, Coman is a potentially good option for Barcelona, but there are some reservations.

⚪️ RB Leipzig’s coach Marco Rose on a potential transfer of a replacement for Dani #Olmo: ⤵️

“We can’t replace him, but we can at least bring in another player. Ideally, he should be able to play both positions. We’re looking for a pacey player who can also play good football. We’re not looking for a traditional number 10; we’ve developed a profile where the player might also be able to play from the wing. However, he should also be strong on the ball, capable of cutting inside and playing in the half-space. A good footballer with decent speed.”

⚠️ Main candidates for #RBL: Rayan #Cherki (Lyon), Johan #Bakayoko (PSV), and Francisco #Conceicao (Porto).
