Bayern Munich star Leroy Sané sees his role as an experienced player as one that will be valuable to the Bavarians this summer.

“As you get older and more experienced, you look at how you can help and support the younger players. There are many opportunities to lead the way, especially in my position in attacking midfield. I’m certainly not the one who always speaks,” Sané said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “But on the pitch, I try to be a leader — a player who brings momentum and whom the others can follow. We have a very good mix of experienced and young players, which both sides can benefit from.”

With some of the potential changes that have been rumored, Sané’s newfound interest in helping guide the youth in Bavaria could come in handy for new coach Vincent Kompany. However, the winger will have to be present — and consistent — to really help deliver the leadership he wants to show to a team in the midst of change.
