Barcelona vs Bayern Munich live updates: Champions League ...
UEFA
Some very big teams in this middle section of the table. (Reminder that the teams finishing between 9th and 24th will go into a knockout play-off round.)
A win and a defeat each for both Barcelona and Bayern Munich so far, so they will need a few more positive results to give them a chance of extending their Champions League campaigns.

What a job Unai Emery is doing at Aston Villa!
They are the only team to have won three from three so far in this season's Champions League, so they are the occupiers of top spot until this evening's results roll in.
Of course, the caveat with this photo of the table — and the two that are coming — is that half of these teams have played an extra match.

The last thing Barcelona fans will have wanted to see ahead of this weekend's Clasico is a spell-binding performance from Vinicius Jr.
With Real Madrid 2-0 down last night against Dortmund, the Brazilian flipped a switch in the final half hour and stole the show with an unbelievable hat-trick.
The Champions League holders went on to win 5-2 at the Bernabeu, thanks also to goals from Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Vazquez.
It was a much-needed win for Carlo Ancelotti's side after they were beaten by Lille in matchday two.

Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, Barcelona
Not necessarily the stadium we expect to see Barcelona playing in, this one.
Today's game will be hosted at the nearly 56,000-seater Estadi Olimpic as the renovation of Camp Nou continues across the city.
This stadium, built 97 years ago, is nowhere near as impressive as Barca's normal home but there is still a good atmosphere created for the big matches, like today's.
