Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen aren't only fighting for the Bundesliga title, but also on the transfer market, as they have set their sights on the same goalkeeper.

That's according to Sport Bild, who reports that FC Köln's Jonas Urbig has attracted the interest of the two Bundesliga giants.

Bayern are said to have been in contact with the 21-year-old's representatives and see him as a possible long-term replacement for 38-year-old Manuel Neuer.

This is despite the fact that the Bavarians already have a solid successor for Neuer in Alexander Nübel, who is due to return from a loan spell at Stuttgart in 2026.

According to Sport Bild, Leverkusen have also targeted Urbig as a possible future replacement for their current first-choice goalkeeper, 34-year-old Lukas Hradecky.

Under contract until 2026, Urbig is expected to leave Köln for a Bundesliga club in the summer, with the Billy Goats keen to avoid him entering the final year of his deal.

Other clubs from the Bundesliga are said to be monitoring the 21-year-old as well.

The German under-21 international has played every game for FC Köln this season.
