Putellas, 30, has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 10 Liga F games so far this season.

She will miss her side’s next three Liga F games against UD Tenerife (November 24), Real Betis (December 7), and Valencia CF (December 15), as well as the Champions League match against Hammarby (December 12).

It is yet to be confirmed whether she will be fit for the game against Manchester City on December 18.

She previously missed ninth months in 2022 after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper Diario Sport earlier this week, she said she was “very happy and it showed on the pitch”.

She was injured just before the 2022 European Championship in England and returned in April 2023. The Spaniard missed 117 days during the 2023-24 season, after undergoing knee surgery in December 2023.

Putellas scored her 200th goal for FC Barcelona in the 4-1 Champions League victory over St Polten on November 21. She became the third top scorer for the men’s and women’s sides in the club’s history, behind only Lionel Messi (672) and Cesar Rodriguez (232).

Last season in a game against Atletico Madrid, she scored her 182nd goal and became Barcelona’s all-time top scorer for the women’s team, passing Jennifer Hermoso.
