Barça Atlètic 2-2 Celta Fortuna: Courageous draw
The blaugrana development side come back from 0-2 with two great goals by Dani Rodríguez
Another point for Barça Atlètic, who managed to come back from a two goal deficit against Celta Fortuna to draw 2-2. A brace by Dani Rodríguez proved the catalyst for the side who almost managed to complete the comeback in the final minutes.
Víctor Barberà injuredAlbert Sánchez's side were back at the Estadi Johan Cruyff with confidence after winning last time out. After things initially looking bright for the home side, Celta had a goal ruled out, former blaugrana Marc Vidal saved well from Dacosta and the visitors were making attacking inroads. The blaugranes also lost Víctor Barberà to injury after half an hour to make matters worse.
Celta make it 0-2The game's first goal came from 16-year-old Barreiros, who finished a good bit of play by Burcio (0-1, min. 38). The goal rattled Barça Atlètic, who needed Kochen to show a strong hand to keep the difference to a minimum at half-time. However, Mbacke committed a penalty foul straight after the restart and Román made no mistake (0-2, min. 47) to extend the visitors' lead. The game was looking more difficult... but not impossible.
A brace of brilliant goals by Dani RodríguezAlbert Sánchez had shuffled the pack at the break, bringing on Dani Rodríguez, with the wide player proving the catalyst. He grabbed the winning goal last week, and up he stepped up again with a superb brace. The first response to 0-2 was a stunning goal, a shot inside the far post (1-2, min. 49). He wanted more, though, and he found the perfect partner in Aleix Garrido, whose backheel he collected before biding his time to finish his second (2-2, min. 59).
Every effort to get the winThe push to complete the comeback continued, Gistau going close, before the game settled down until the 75th minute. Celta's Dela then had to go off for an injury, meaning the visitors had to play with 10 after having made all their subs. Barça Atlètic attempted to press home their numerical advantage, but a couple of very good chances just wouldn't go in. As such, the match ended in a draw, which ultimately can be considered a positive result.
