New Faces In Bafana Squad - iDiski Times
Hugo Broos has called up five new faces to his preliminary Bafana Bafana squad, and also recalled several in-form players.
The Belgian tactician announced a 38-man squad ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Uganda and at home to South Sudan.

Meanwhile, his teammate Ashley Cupido returns after featuring in COSAFA and CHAN, but never for the senior side, while Thabang Matuludi also featured at COSAFA.
Matuludi’s Polokwane City teammate Rodney Maphangule and Richards Bay striker Yanela Mbuthuma are two somewhat surprise call-ups.
Meanwhile, Sipho Mbule returns to the Bafana setup, having last made an appearance against Zimbabwe in 2021. Percy Tau and Siyabonga Ngezana are also back in the fold after missing the previous games, while Bongokuhle Hlongwane has been called up for the first time in 2024.

Broos will still cut his team from 38 names to just 23 before the team goes into camp ahead of their away fixture in Uganda on 15 November and the home game against South Sudan four days later, with the match set to be played in Cape Town, as first reported by iDiski Times.
