Oblak

Ends the season with a clean sheet as speculation ramps up about his future at Atlético Madrid. Made good saves on Sheraldo Becker and Take Kubo to cap a difficult campaign (68 goals shipped) on a high note. 6.5

Llorente

Assisted Samuel Lino’s goal with a wipeout cross that fizzed all the way to goalkeeper Álex Ramiro’s back post. It completed a strong bounce-back season from Llorente, who reached 10 goal contributions (6 scored/4 assisted) for the first time since that remarkable 2020/21 season — and might have booked himself a place in the Spain squad for Euro 2024. 7.5

It is seeming likely Marcos Llorente will go with Spain to the Euro, despite Luis de la Fuente never calling him up since his arrival. Marcos is ahead of Pedri, Baena, and Fermin.@marca pic.twitter.com/JVTZ1epBVd

Witsel

Quick passing and positional awareness saw Witsel end the season on a high note as Atlético ponder a renewal offer for the 35-year-old Belgian. 5.5

Giménez

Aggressive and assured, showing again what he offers when he’s not on the treatment table. Made nine clearances and two blocks, but looked a little shaky in the tackle as he was dribbled past three times. 7

Azpilicueta

Made a goal-line clearance in the first half and showcased his versatility as well as veteran know-how during his duel with La Real star Take Kubo. Opened lanes for players like Lino with his off-ball movement. 6.5

Lino

Opened the scoring on nine minutes with a smart finish at the back post, his fourth goal in LALIGA this season. Simeone will demand more from his left wing-back next season, but Lino looks primed to meet the challenge after completing a superb debut season in Madrid. 7.5

Koke

Played to his strengths, switching the play and bringing wide players into the game. The captain picked up a yellow card for dissent in the first half, but other than that, he played a fine game, showcasing his long-ball delivery and defensive awareness with five recoveries. 6

Vermeeren

Made simple and sharp passes, completing all 18 of his attempts. Punished with a yellow card for a sloppy tackle on Kieran Tierney in the first half. 6

De Paul

Split the opposition center-backs repeatedly with well-placed passes. The World Cup winner executed on some tricky passes and made six passes into the final third over his 70 minutes. 7

Griezmann

Dropped back into space to receive the ball and link up with teammates. The France star lacked a clear opportunity to score himself, but he worked hard defensively to head the ball off the goal line. 5.5

Correa

Set up a good chance for Lino inside 15 minutes and had a goal of his own ruled out for offside. 4

Riquelme

Replaced Vermeeren after 57 minutes. Tough assignment with Kubo on his side but came out of it well, and he picked up a hockey assist on Reinildo’s game-sealing goal. 5

Hermoso

Replaced Lino after 69 minutes. Drawn into more pure defensive work than usual in what is likely his final Atlético appearance. 5

Saúl

Replaced de Paul after 69 minutes. Received two yellow cards and was sent off in the first minute of stoppage time, a sad end to his difficult season. 2

That’s a really sad way for Saúl’s Atlético career to end (if this really is the end).

Morata

Replaced Correa after 69 minutes. Had a chance to score in the 79th minute off a Koke through ball, but his shot went just wide. Later picked up the assist on Reinildo’s 93rd-minute tap-in. 7

Reinildo

Replaced Azpilicueta after 83 minutes. Booked a few minutes after coming on for a stamp on Kubo’s right foot but made up for it in second-half stoppage time with a tap-in from Álvaro Morata’s cross — only his second goal in red and white. 7
