PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Aston Villa v Bologna
Aston Villa will aim to continue their perfect start to the Champions League when they face Bologna tonight at the Villa Park.
Aston Villa made the headlines with a 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in their previous European outing to make it two wins out of the two games played this season. The Birmingham side employed their home advantage to their full capability as Jhon Duran’s 79th-minute strike made one of the biggest upsets of the Champions League. Unai Emery’s men are on a nine-game unbeaten streak across all competitions since losing 2-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League. Aston Villa are set for a busy November with Tottenham, Club Brugge, Liverpool and Juventus coming up.
Meanwhile, Bologna head out tonight in search of their first win in this season’s Champions League. The Rossoblu have fallen from their standards set last campaign as they currently sit 13th in the league standings with new manager Vincenzo Italiano winning just one of ten matches till date. Bologna are set to be without the likes of Dan Ndoye and Michel Aebischer for the match. Santiago Castro is set to start over Thijs Dallinga upfront. Captain Riccardo Orsolini could start on the right flank after scoring once against Genoa.
Here are the predicted line-ups according to Sky Italia:
Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Onana, Tielemans; Bailey, Rogers, McGinn; Watkins.
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Lucumi, Lykogiannis; Freuler, Moro; Orsolini, Urbanski, Ndoye; Dallinga.
