Arsenal 3-1 Southampton Stats: Bukayo Saka Heaps More Misery on Saints

Bukayo Saka had a hand in all three goals as the Gunners came from behind to win on Saturday. Re-live the action with the key facts and Opta data in our Arsenal vs Southampton stats page.

Bukayo Saka scored and got two assists as Arsenal beat Southampton 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, the visitors now winless in 20 Premier League games.

Saints took the lead early in the second period after frustrating Arsenal before half-time, with Cameron Archer getting the goal after good work from Mateus Fernandes.

But Arsenal quickly struck back through Kai Havertz, who became the first Arsenal player to score in seven successive home league games since Robin van Persie in 2012, firing home after receiving a pass from Saka.

England star Saka then teed up Gabriel Martinelli with an inviting cross from deep, before finishing Saints off himself in the 88th minute.

That took him to nine goal involvements for the season already, with his seven assists more than anyone else in the Premier League this term.

Defeat for Saints ensured they became just the sixth different club to go 20 Premier League games without a win in a run that stretches back to the 2022-23 campaign.
