An early kick-off in the United Kingdom sees Mikel Arteta test his squad for the first time on the United States pre-season tour taking on AFC Bournemouth at the home of LA Galaxy in California. The side have only been in the States for a few days acclimatising to the heat and the time difference and this will be an interesting test.

Arsenal have two further games against Manchester United and Liverpool before they return home. However, with more players due to join the squad from tomorrow onwards having returned late from the European Championships and Copa America, this is the best chance for plenty of youth stars to make their mark.

Fans might catch a glimpse of new signing Tommy Setford. The former Ajax stopper joined in the days ahead of flying straight out for his first taste of action with his new side and with both David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale absent he along with Karl Hein, Alexie Rojas and fellow summer signing Lucas Nygaard will be fighting for some minutes.

Jurrien Timber is in with a chance of reigniting his Arsenal career following a full year out of the game. While question marks over Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, Jakub Kiwior and Reiss Nelson all still linger as to their own futures despite being in with a chance of playing.

You can follow all of the action from the Dignity Health Sports Park in our dedicated live blog below with Tom Canton and Kaya Kaynak. Updates to follow…

Key Events

GOAL! - Vieira03:53

05:24Tom Canton

Full-time

It ends all square but don't go anywhere as we have a penalty shoot-out to come. It would have happened anyway but it will be a decider here.

05:17Tom Canton

Change

Nwaneri has finished his contribution, very bright and enjoyable performance. Jimi Gower comes on for him.

05:16Tom Canton

Save - Neto

Lovely ball by Odegaard again to Trossard on the left. He cuts inside and fires a low shot which Neto manages to stop and Bournemouth clear.

05:11Tom Canton

Change

Josh Nichols, an exciting young full-back, comes on for Ben White. Great moment for him.

05:07Tom Canton

Brilliant

Odegaard has been unreal since coming on. A great touch and then backheel to White who tries a cross but it is cleared.

Sagoe Jr then looks through on goal but is brought down. Referee says nothing doing.

05:06Tom Canton

Goal - Semenyo

Rekik has gifted a goal to Bournemouth, he has been very poor since coming on.

Losing the ball in the defensive third. Semenyo strike deflects and Zinchenko's touch loops it over Hein.

05:04Tom Canton

Save - Neto

Great strike by Odegaard, whipped across the keeper. Neto parries out for a corner.

05:03Tom Canton

Yellow - Cook

Jesus is bundled over unnecessarily by Cook and a little scuffle breaks out. The Bournemouth defender is booked and a free-kick in a good position for Arsenal arrives.

Brilliant save!

Hein has saved Arsenal's lead here. Brilliant flick passes Rekik and Ouattara is in and can finesse but the Estonian is equal to it.

04:57Tom Canton

Arsenal changes.

Jorginho, Zinchenko, Jesus, Rekik, Kiwior have come off.

Partey, Timber, Vieira, Lewis-Skelly and Heaven are off.

Sagoe Jr has also come on too. Nketiah making way. Trossard also on for Nelson.

04:53Tom Canton

Shot - Solanke

Striking a frustrated figure now. Hein watches as the striker fires another sighter over the bar.

Ouattara then gets in behind down the right, fires in a cross which Vieira does well to clear.

04:48Tom Canton

Not too different

The one change has meant not a huge change in the run of the game so far. A great touch to play in Partey has already been seen and then a chance follows but Odegaard's cross is deflected into Neto's hands.

04:39Tom Canton

Second half

Trying to spot the changes here. Martin Odegaard has definitely come on here.

Looks like just the one change with Salah Oulad M'Hand coming off which will raise the level significantly.

04:22Tom Canton

Half-time

A good half of pre-season action here. The Gunners are the better side but Bournemouth have had chances.

Fabio Vieira with the only goal of the game so far. A great volley but Nelson has stolen the show with both his assists and the driving runs. Some great pieces of skill and perhaps a reminder to Arsenal who they might be losing after reported talks with Leicester City have begun over a summer move.

04:16Tom Canton

Shot - Nketiah

Another chance for Nketiah who cuts inside to the middle of the box and then tries a low shot to the right corner. However it is comfortable for Neto who dives low and denies the centre-forward.

04:13Tom Canton

Nelson nutmeg

Brilliant from Nelson in the corner. Oulad M'Hand and the winger combine and Arsenal's winger nutmegs his opponent before starting a counterattack that's sadly led to very little.

Such great confidence and execution of the moment.

04:07Tom Canton

OFF THE BAR!

Solanke cannot find the target having turned the Arsenal defender with ease. Too many touches again from the Arsenal defenders and they are nearly punished... he had to score.

04:01Tom Canton

Wide - Faivre

Another good chance for the opposition. Faivre gets it on to his left foot but fires wide of the goal.

03:53KEY EVENT

GOAL! - Vieira

Great finish from Fabio Vieira! Cross from the left as Nelson bursts down the flank again, falls at his feet at a nice height and he volleys past Neto.

03:53Tom Canton

Penalty shout

Nelson and Nketiah combine. Nelson feeds the forward into space, he tries the cut-back, Zabarnyi slides in and the forward goes down. Nothing really in it though.

03:48Tom Canton

Solanke over

Faivre closes down Partey and wins the ball, feeding Solanke. The forward however blazes his striker over the ball, something of a let-off there.

Arsenal then come up the other end with a free-kick. Vieira fires it into the box but the Cherries deal with it.

03:47Tom Canton

Loss of momentum

Arsenal cannot quite get the ball into the right areas at the moment. Bournemouth working hard to keep the ball and press the Gunners when out of possession. They have seven starters from their last Premier League match compared to the Gunners' two.

03:41Tom Canton

Chance - Nketiah

Brilliant from Nwaneri on the right, cutting inside and reverses a pass through to Nketiah. Zabarnyi slides in on the striker and the shot is deflected for a corner.

Neto struggles to collect and Arsenal nearly get a header as White causes problems for the Brazilian keeper.

03:40Tom Canton

Controlled

A small early chance for Nelson to run down the left flank and put in a cross. Vieira at the back post but the header cannot redirect the ball to a teammate.

A controlled opening from the Gunners as they look to try and keep the ball and work it into the open spaces.

03:36Tom Canton

Early foul

Zabarnya brings down Nketiah. Some good early movement from Arsenal and the intensity is good for a pre-season game.

03:35Tom Canton

Kick-off!

00 - Here we go! Looking forward to watching the likes of Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly here, the latter of whom has been chosen at left-back and we assume will play an inverted role similar to Zinchenko.

03:31Tom Canton
