World-renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli is set to enchant South Africa in 2025 with three exhilarating performances as part of his 30th music anniversary celebrations. Bocelli, a multi-Grammy Award winner, will grace the stages in Pretoria and Cape Town, promising an unforgettable experience for classical music enthusiasts.
On 12 and 13 April 2024, Bocelli will perform at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, followed by a historic outdoor concert at Cape Town’s DHL Stadium on 16 April . This Cape Town event is anticipated to be the largest outdoor classical concert ever staged in the Mother City.
The concerts are a collaboration with Big Concerts Experience and are supported by popular local radio stations including KFM 94.5, CapeTalk, 702, and 947. Adding a unique local flavor, Bocelli will be joined by some of South Africa’s finest musical talents. In Pretoria, his performance will be enriched by the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg and the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra. Meanwhile, the Cape Town performance will feature The Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, creating a symphonic blend that perfectly complements Bocelli’s legendary voice.
Bocelli’s last visit to South Africa was in 2019, where he captivated audiences in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Since then, his global appeal has only grown.
