Ronaldo, who scored twice in a 5-4 exhibition defeat to Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain, went on to fire a blank in his first appearance for the Saudi Pro League club.
League leaders Al-Nassr are just two points ahead of Al-Ittihad in third with this semi-final set to be a fiercely contested affair.

Kick-off at the King Fahd International Stadium is set for 6pm in the UK – which is 9pm in Saudi Arabia.
The winner of this one takes on Al Feiha and Al-Hilal in Sunday’s final.

Al-Nassr manager Rudi Garcia was happy with Ronaldo’s performance on his debut and even told his players to pass to the forward more.
“I told the players they need to make the right choices on the pitch,” Garcia said.
“Obviously Cristiano Ronaldo is asking for the ball and we have to give him the ball because he’s the player who can make the difference.
“We need to work a lot on the positions of everyone. Sometimes we had crosses but not enough people in the box. We need to work on that.”
