An Air Canada flight to Montreal from Morocco was cancelled following a heated argument between a flight attendant and a passenger who sought a blanket, The New York Post reported. A video of the incident onboard flight AC73, shot on July 26, shows an irate flight attendant gesturing angrily and ranting at the passenger.

The passenger had requested a blanket as the cabin's temperature was too cold. The crew member also reportedly attempted to deboard the passenger from the plane.

"You will behave, or we will get off!" the crew member shouts at the passenger. "I'll tell the captain right away. Yes or no?" she is heard saying.

When other passengers asked her to call the captain, the attendant refused, saying, "I want no bullying against my crew." She is then seen angrily storming out of the aisle.

The aircraft was already on the tarmac when the row erupted. The flight departed a day later after the airline arranged a different crew.

In a statement, Air Canada said passengers were offered compensation for the delay while asserting that appropriate action would be taken, the airline told CTV News. "We are taking this incident very seriously," an airline spokesperson said.

"We apologise to our customers and deeply regret that their experience today fell far short of what they had come to expect when flying with Air Canada," the statement further said.

As the video went viral, several social media users criticised Air Canada over the incident. "The planes can get very cold, this was a legit ask. Look at her attitude. In customer-facing roles like hostess, you cannot have ego. This is wrong of her," a user posted on X.

A similar video went viral in April after a flight attendant of Spirit Airlines was seen swearing at a passenger at Fort Lauderdale Airport.
