Fiorentina vs AC Milan: Lineups and how to watch

Late news

Fiorentina boss Raffaele Palladino brings back his starters, albeit with a couple of changes. Pietro Comuzzo continues in central defense, having clearly leapfrogged Lucas Martínez Quarta in the hierarchy. Yacine Adli gets the nod in midfield against his old side, while Edoardo Bove gets stationed out on the left wing, perhaps to provide some extra defensive stability as Robin Gosens looks to get forward. It could also be a 4-3-3 with Guðmundsson on the left, but 4-2-3-1 is what Palladino’s hammered on as being the formation so we’ll assume his honesty for now.

AC Milan manager Paulo Fonseca hasn’t made any unexpected decisions, as he’s missing a number of players—Alessandro Florenzi, Davide Calabria, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ismael Bennacer, Luka Jović—and can’t rotate much from Wednesday’s loss at Bayer Leverkusen. The only real question is if Álvaro Morata will play as a 10 or as another striker.

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Gosens, Ranieri, Comuzzo, Dodô; Adli, Cataldi; Bove, Guðmundsson, Colpani; Kean

AC Milan (4-4-2): Maignan; Hernandez, Tomori, Gabbia, Royal; Leão, Reijnders, Fofana, Pulisic; Abraham, Morata
