Aberdeen 1 Rangers 2 RECAP as Alfredo Morelos double downs 10-man Dons

Rangers survived a scare to extend their lead at the top of the table with a win over 10-man Aberdeen.
Alfredo Morelos looked to back to his best as the Colombian striker’s double put the visitors in cruise control. However, some slack defending allowed Matty Kennedy to pull a goal back for the Dons and set up a nervy finish to the game.
Derek McInnes’ side were reduced to 10-men as Ryan Hedges tripped Morelos as he broke through on goal, with John Beaton pointing to the spot. Skipper James Tavernier sent Joe Lewis the wrong way but his penalty went wide of the post.
There was another controversial moment for whistler Beaton as he handed Aberdeen striker Curtis Main a booking for a bad challenge on Borna Barisic, with boss McInnes opting to substitute his player less than a minute later.
It all means that Rangers extend their lead at the top of the table over Celtic to 22 before they face His tomorrow, albeit having played four more games than their Glasgow rivals, and keep their unbeaten record.
