There's not a Euphoria fan out there who won't remember the - for want of a better word - iconic sick scene courtesy of Sydney Sweeney's chaotic character, Cassie Howard.

For those struggling to place the even more chaotic scene in their memories, let me cast your mind back to early 2022 following the second season's release. During episode four - which centred mainly around Cassie's emotional meltdown at Maddy's (Alexa Demie) 18th birthday party - the high schooler ended up violently vomiting into the hot tub which her friends were occupying at the time.

Two years on, and the scene is still one of the most memorable and talked about moments from the series. So much so, that Sydney recently brought it up during her appearance on Hot Ones.

While chatting to host Sean Evans, the 26-year-old explained how the scene was achieved. (Which, I'm sure you've all been kept up at night wondering...)

She said that the show's creator, Sam Levinson, didn't want to use the classic method, whereby actors fill their mouths with 'fake vomit' and then release it once the cameras start rolling. Rather, he decided to take it up a notch and - according to Sydney - "wanted vomit everywhere."

For full effect, Sydney shared that she had a pipe taped to her body which was attached to a pump that was CGI'd out. She also revealed there was a hose that she had to put in her mouth that then filled up with "throw up" during the scene. Nice.

"And then I opened my mouth and it just started shooting out my mouth and it was the most disgusting thing I ever experienced," she recalled.

Anything for good TV, eh?
