Coach Rulani Mokwena says is now aware of any signing that is being made by Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the transfer window period in January.

Sundowns are reported to have agreed terms with Argentinian midfielder Matias Esquivel to join the team next month on a four-year contract. The 24-year-old midfielder is currently on the books of Talleres on loan from Lanus in the Argentine Primera Division.

Despite widely reported about the imminent arrival of Matias Esquivel, Mokwena, speaking to the media in a post-match press conference after the clash against Cape Town City, denied any knowledge of his team signing the Argentine at Chloorkop.

“Argentinian (player)? You seem to know more than me," Mokwena said to the media after sharing the spoils in Cape Town.

"I know absolutely nothing as I sit here," the coach concluded.

The Brazilians have since signed defender Zuko Mdunyelwa from Chippa United on a long-term deal. Striker Fagrie Lakay is reportedly on the wanted list of the Tshwane giants when the transfer window period re-opens in January. Lakay is currently in the books of the Egyptian side, Pyramids.
