Mamelodi Sundowns' endured a frustrating afternoon of football, a foreign concept to the all-conquering Brazilians, as they played to a goalless draw against Pyramids at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday afternoon.

This result left Group A intricately balanced with all four teams tied on four points after three rounds of the CAF Champions League. Sundowns' draw came a day after TP Mazembe and Nouadhibou also played to a goalless draw in Mauritania.

The Egyptian club didn't give Sundowns the respect most clubs afford the Brazilians when they visit them. Pyramids played with confidence and control, frustrating Sundowns and their supporters who are used to coming here and witnessing the reigning African Football League champions bulldoze their way past their opponents.
