Real Madrid to play 3000th LaLiga game in Seville

Real Madrid dominates the competition's honours list with 35 trophies, and is one of only three clubs to have played in every edition of the competition since 1929.

Real Madrid will play their 3,000th LaLiga game at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. The Whites will reach this milestone after taking part in every Primera División competition since the league's creation in 1929. Of the 2,999 matches they have played to date, they have won 1,799 (a league record), drawn 599 and lost 601. They have scored 6,416 goals in the process.

Real Madrid made their league debut on 10 February 1929, when they hosted Europa in the Chamartín stadium on the opening day (5-0). This victory was the defining moment of the madridista legacy in this competition, a championship that our team dominates with 35 titles.

Other historic milestones
The 500-match mark was reached on 16 November 1952 with a 2-1 win over Atlético Madrid. The Whites played their 1,000th LaLiga match on 20 April 1969, with a 1-0 win over Las Palmas, and the 2,000th came on 1 June 1997 with a 5-0 home victory over Extremadura. Of these 2,999 matches, 1,499 have been played at home and 1,500 away.

Players
As for individual records, the player with the most appearances is Raúl with 550 matches. The top scorer is Cristiano Ronaldo (312 goals) and Iker Casillas is the Madrid player with the most victories (334). In the dugout, Miguel Muñoz is the coach who has managed the most league matches at our club (424).
