Harry Kane will go another season without winning a major trophy despite swapping Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich.
Kane left Spurs last summer to complete a £100 million move to the German giants. The striker has since scored 44 goals in 44 appearances for Bayern and is all but certain to win the Bundesliga Golden Boot award in his first season in the league.
Wednesday night saw Bayern lose 2-1 to Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final, losing 4-3 on aggregate in the process. As a result, Kane and Co. missed out on their final opportunity to win a major trophy this season, after the striker failed to win any during his time at Tottenham.
Bayern had already lost out to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga title race, ending a run of 11 consecutive title wins stretching back to the 2012/13 season. In the DFB Pokal, Bayern also lost in the second round of the competition to German third-tier club Saarbrucken.

Kane confirmed his departure from Spurs last August in a video posted on social media. The announcement was confirmed shortly before both Tottenham and Bayern made the news official, and in the video, Kane outlined exactly why he decided to leave North London.
“I felt like this was the time to leave,” said Kane in his video announcement to Tottenham fans on social media last August.
“I didn’t want to go into the season with a lot of unresolved future talk. I think it’s important for the new manager and players to concentrate on trying to get Tottenham back to around the top of the table and fighting for trophies.”
As part of Bayern's announcement, Kane explained why he decided to make the move to the Bundesliga club. The England captain stated that the desire to win trophies was part of his thinking in making the switch to Germany.
"I’m very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now," Kane told Bayern's club website last August.
"Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I’ve always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career. This club is defined by its winning mentality - it feels very good to be here."
