Chennai Super Kings vs Punjab Kings IPL 2024 Live Score: PBKS’ superb bowling effort restricted CSK to 162 for seven at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings who are stuck in a mid-table lock jam will look to go higher by beating bottom-of-the-table side Punjab Kings on Wednesday. However, Punjab will be high on confidence after their last win against Kolkata Knight Riders chasing the highest total in the history of competition ever.

While the chase would give a huge shot in the arm for the batting unit bowling attack and fielding looked below par in that game and they would be hoping against Chennai to improve upon those aspects. The side is improbable to make it to the playoffs however, to give themselves a chance they need to win the remainder of the games and other results need to go their way.

As per Super Kings, the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad was a near-perfect one. The team excelled in all departments and blew the Orange Army away showing the ceiling of the side when they got their act together. They have two home games remaining and would look to win them both and cement their place in the top four.

It was late last year that Shashank Singh received the soul-crushing news from Mumbai. Vidya Paradkar, a prominent maidan coach who mentored the likes of Zaheer Khan and Ajinkya Rahane, and took Shashank under his wings, was no more. At the other end of the line was Paradkar’s widow, Pramila.

“I told him that I’ll be taking over the academy because sir had wished that it keeps running,” she tells The Indian Express. The response from the former pupil was a short one. “I’m coming to Mumbai. We’ll talk about it.” (Read more from Rahul Pandey)
